The JV Black football team lost a close battle Thursday night against Flower Mound 21 – 20. Tyler Cobb scored on a 34 yard reception from matt Gillen. Esteban Alcala and Derek Udeh both scored on runs as well. Patrick Gillen had several key pass receptions in the game as well. The defense was lead by Jimmy Clear (interception), Derek Pugh Kyle Tompkins and Christian Kaprelian. (two interceptions).
The JV Red team lost by a score of 29 – 21Marvin Parker started the night with a 4 yard touchdown run. Emmanuel Mulumba scored on two pass receptions from Jake Larson. Tyler Fenner, Griffen Lynch and Austin Abel had key receptions on the nigh as well. The defense was Lead by Tyler Fenner, Patrick Hemphill, Zane Zoda, Logan McCullough and Craig Anya. |

The JV Black football team beat Lewisville by a score of 21 – 7. Big plays on offense were turned in by Patrick Gillen, scoring on two pass plays from matt Gillen. Kyler Grisham and Estaban Alcala also turned in big plays for the offense.
The defense was marked with several big plays. Zane patty, Jimmy Clear and Zach Smith all had big hits on the night. Derek Pugh and Robbie Cannon both had fumble recoveries while Austin Watters had two interceptions. The outstanding player for the night was Christian Kaprelian, who had four interceptions, including one for a touchdown.
The JV Red football team beat Lewisville 37 – 0. Scoring for the Cowboys were Griffin Lynch, Jake Larson, Phillip Ellis and Alex Taylor. Emanual Mulumba had two touchdowns for the night.
On defense, Christian Han, Patrick Hemphill, Tyler Fenner, Adam Thomas, Austin Buss and Logan McCullough all help to preserve the shutout. |

The JV Black football team beat Marcus last Thursday night by a score of 13 – 0. Matt Gillen connected on two touchdown passes to big brother Patrick Gillen. Kyler Grisham and Robbie Cannon also had good nights for the offense. The defense was lead by big plays by Austin waters, Christian Kaprelian, Kyle Tompkins and Derek Pugh. Tyler Cobb stopped the best scoring threat with an interception, saving the shut out.
The JV Red football team lost a tough game to Marcus 28 – 14. Austin Abel had a touchdown reception from Jake Larson for the first score. Jake Larson also scored on a one yard run. Christian Han, Patrick Hemphill, Sung Hong, Zane Zoda and Phillip Ellis lead the defense. Tyler Fenner stopped a Marcus drive with an interception. |

The JV Black football team lost to Hebron Thursday night with a score of 33 – 21. Matt Gillen connected with Nathan Freidman to start the scoring. Then he hit big brother Patrick Gillen for the next TD pass of the night. Esteban Alcala added to the score with a 7 yard touchdown run. The defense was lead by Derek Pugh and Zach Smith.
The JV Red football team lost 27 – 14 to a stiff Hebron Hawk team. Marvin Parker and Jeff Smiley both had touchdowns on the night. The defense was lead by Logan McCullough, Patrick Hemphill, Adam Thomas and Daniel Logan. |

The JV Black football team got the week started off on a good note by beating Wylie East 63 – 8. Scoring on offense were Patrick Gillen, with a td reception, Jake Larson and Esteban Alcala, who had two touchdown runs each, Derik Udeh and Kyler Grisham, who each had a touchdown run. The defense and special teams also helped in the scoring. Alex Cleveland had a 23 yard interception return for a touchdown. Patrick Gillen also scored on a 54 yard punt return.
Other top performances were put in by Derek Udeh, with an interception and Micheal Sabeti, with a fumble recovery. Jimmy Clear, Zack Smith, Austin Waters, Derek Pugh and Kyle Tompkins all helped keep Wylie east with their aggressive play on defense. Christian Kaprelian topped off the night with a big hit, that knocked the ball away from a would be reception.

The JV Red football team finished the week on a positive note with a 20 – 15 victory over Highland Park. With a 9 – 0 half time deficits, Joe Minden connected with Austin Abel to score the first touchdown. Marvin parker then ran in the end zone for the two point conversion. Joe Minden then ran past the Highland Park defense on a fake hand off, 40 yards for another touchdown. Rene Meza finished the job on a 2 yard run for the last touchdown.
Defensively, Patrick Hemphill, Sebastian Herrera, Daniel Logan, Logan McCullough and Zack Ratcliff kept the Highland Park offense to just 15 points.
Special Teams plays by Cody Bonner helped keep the Highland Park in their end of the field.
This makes the combined JV teams 10 – 0 going into district play next week. Come Thursday night and watch us take on the Dragons from Southlake High School.
